These embroidered pieces are a variation on the original traditional use of Palestinian embroidery.
The olive tree, considered sacred by Palestinians for it supported the essence of their existence since time immemorial, is more important today to Palestinians than ever. The olive tree's existence is being threatened by random uprooting to make way for urban development on the West Bank.
